ATEM Television Studio HD

Considering purchasing one of these for live event production, cameras, laptops, playback to IMAG screens. Does anyone have any experience with this hardware working in that environment?
Top Comment: Yes, I've used these extensively (and their 'Pro' variants with the desktop form-factor). They work great, and if you genlock your cameras they will add no latency for IMAG. One thing to note for laptops etc is there are no scalers or standards converters on the inputs, so you need to match all your sources to the switcher's base resolution.
HDMI Input into BMD Atem Television Studio HD Issue

Hi all,
Could someone share with me if they managed to create a custom resolution for NVIDIA and AMD graphic cards?
I have 2 PC HDMI inputs which go into the ATEM, however I have issues with the resolution/refresh rate.
My ATEM is set to 1080i50, so I'm trying to get the two PCs to output 1080i50. My camera inputs only support 1080i50. If I set it to 1080i59, the NVIDIA PC works like a charm.
PC1 (Windows 7, AMD RX5700XT)
PC2 (Windows 10, NVIDIA GTX970)
The issue with the AMD, is that I can't seem to set it to Interlace using a custom resolution. Interlace isn't available on the default settings.
With Nvidia, I can set it to 1080i 1920x1080 29Hz and 30Hz. I can't seem to add the 1080i 1920x1080 25Hz setting.

Top Comment: What we’ve done is use the updowncross Mini Converter to solve this. It was easier to keep the frame rate constant (as sometimes the PC would reset when rebooted). https://www.blackmagicdesign.com/products/miniconverters

Connecting iMAC to ATEM Television Studio HD

Pretty excited we just upgraded our PC to the new 27-inch iMac. The problem is now I cannot get it to show via our ATEM Television Studio HD switcher. Our old setup (which still works is): iMac (runs Mojave) --> Thunderbolt to HDMI converter (Apple's converter) --> ATEM. The iMac was set up with an extended monitor for 1080i and 60Hz (the ATEM is setup for 10880i59.94). This worked fine and I could see the extended monitor in the switcher.
On the new iMac (which runs Catalina), I configured the external monitor the same way (1080i and 60Hz) and plugged the converter - no joy! Some have suggested getting a scaler - but given the old iMac worked without one, I am not convinced that's the only solution. It's the same setup (albeit a new computer and a new OS). Does anyone have a suggestion? Thank you!

Possible Catalina actually changed 60hz to be 60hz. ATEM's are very picky on their resolution/frame rate. If the signal is really 60hz and not 59.94hz then the ATEM will not like it.
Its one reason I carry Decimators in my kit to fix that kind of issue for various inputs that may need it.
You can try a software solution. There are programs out there that give more control over output format. SwitchResX for example. I know there are others as well.
